to Doctr Thomas Whitcomb & William Estabrook of
Lexington in the County aforesaid Greetings
by virtue of the Power & Authority to me given in & by a
Law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Entitled an
Act respecting Lost Goods & stray beasts, I do hereby
appoint you to appraise upon oath at the true
value thereof in money according to your best skill
& judgement a Bay mare black maine & tail with
all her feet white, taken up by Joshua Simonds Jr
of Lexington on the 13t day of August Past, having performed this
Service you are to make return of this Warrant into
the Town Clerk's Office of said Lexington within
seven days from the date thereof----
Given under my hand & seal at Lexington

personally appeared and made oath that they would
faithfully & importantly perform the service to which
they are appointed by the above Warrant
Before me Jno Mulliken Just of the Peace
Pursuant to the within warrant we have appraised
the above mentioned Mare at Ten Dollars
