MINUTES
1. Approve Minutes from March 27, 2017
Minutes approved.
2. School Council Membership Changes
Gretchen Reisig and Hema Gandhi end their terms as parent representatives with this
meeting. Steve Chang and Joyce Dvorak have been elected as parent representatives to
two-year terms.
3. School News & Updates
FYI spending closed on 5/30/17; enrollment continues to climb at Estabrook; K is at
capacity for next year; keeping a close eye on rising grade 5; will request superintendent
consider expansion of both grades to one additional section each
4. Homework at Estabrook Presentation to the Lexington School Committee
Discussed draft presentations on homework pilot; reviewed report and slide presentation
made to LPS School Committee.
5. DRAFT 2017-2018 School Improvement Plan
Draft plan to be presented to School Committee on 6/20/17
6. Meeting Schedule
Jeff to distribute draft School Council meeting schedule to members this summer.
