Joint meeting of BOS &SC re: Center Rec Complex NNNNNMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNMNNMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN-----V------------------- --IVNIVI --- Budget& Capital • Retained earnings certified balances for FY17 have been reported. o Recreation is currently$1,029,912 (FY16 balance$999,917) o Summary of the January 8th BOS meeting on the Community Center expansion. ■ Joint meeting— February 15th with CCPAC? • Swimming Pool Renovation is proceeding and is still on schedule NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN----------------------- ----------- Golf • Winter tree work will take place in the coming week or two. • Off season hiring has begun by New England Golf NNNMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNMNNMN-----V-------I ----------N---------M Programs&Services • During the holiday vacation week, the department offered a combined martial arts program and chess mini clinic at the Community Center and a multi-sports program at the Estabrook School. • The majority of winter programs have begun and are off to a good start so far. • For the ski/snowboard programs at Nashoba Valley, weather has not been cooperating the first few weeks of the program. The Thursday afternoon program will now be offered on 1/11-2/15 and the Friday evening program will now be offered on 1/19-2/16. • Recruitment for summer staff continues. The application deadline for new applicants is March 1St • Work is ongoing on the spring/summer program brochure.
