Minutes:
• The approval of minutes from September 26, 2025, was moved by Marian Cohen and seconded
by Michael Schanbacher.
• Roll Call Vote: Cohen, Aye; Coppe, Aye; Dixon, Aye; Khasnabish, Aye; Lin, Aye; Marine, Abstain;
Schanbacher, Aye;Yan, Aye;Zhou, Aye.The vote is unanimous with one abstention.
Meeting Highlights
VFL Website and report on emails
The committee has received general notifications from the Town. There are no other updates on the
email.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity
The search is still ongoing but nearing a conclusion.
Town Wide Survey
Update: Sarah got the draft RFP from Abe.The working group has been reviewing it.The budget request
will likely increase from $50,000 to$75,000.This number is based on the previous survey cost increase,
which was from $30,000 to $50,000. Additionally, larger national survey firms cost in the range of
$80,000 to$100,000. Everyone on the committee should look at the old survey to see what can be
dropped off and what needs to be added?
Preliminary Schedule:The goal is to have the draft RFP and proposed budget all done before
Thanksgiving. We will have the Town warrant close in December. We will write, design, and construct
the survey in the spring and summer of 2026. The beta will be completed in early fall 2026 and tested,
analyzed, and tweaked in fall 2026.Then, survey administration will occur in February or March 2027.
