HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-09-17-BOH-min (Tri Ton Coalition Advisory Board) Tri-Ton Coalition Advisory Board Burlington.Lexington.Wilmington Tri-Ton Coalition Advisory Board Meeting Meeting Minutes September 17, 2025 2:00 PM Via Webex Attendees: Susan Lumenello, Director Burlington Board of Health, Shelly Newhouse, Director Wilmington Board of Health, Alicia McCartin, Director Lexington Board of Health, and Katie Capobianco, Shared Services Coordinator I. Approval of Minutes • Approval of May 28, 2025 meeting minutes - approved. II New Staff Position -PHN • Katy Fachon, Epidemiologist, and Kara Jackman, Health Communication Specialist, both gave their notice. Both positions ae currently being advertised. Susan suggested filling the open Community Outreach Worker position with another part-time nurse. Alicia advised that she would prefer to fill that position with a second part-time Health Inspector. Susan made a motion to replace the part time Community Outreach Worker position with a second part-time Health Inspector—motion approved Susan will have Burlington HR post the position for a new part-time Health Inspector. Shelly and Alicia said they are good with Susan and Katie conducting the interviews for the new positions. IV Tobacco Updates • Tahycha can help fill in as needed at Lexington on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and be in Burlington on Thursdays. • Tahycha will continue as the Tobacco Inspector in addition to part-time Health Inspector. • Tahycha will be completing compliance inspections and will advise if she is in Lexington or Wilmington. VI Program Updates • Rebecca is working on MOB and Fall Assessments in Burlington and Wilmington. • Lexington has a MOB Program. Rebecca is available to help there if she is needed. • Rebecca will be assisting at the 10/8/25 Flu Clinic in Wilmington and at all upcoming Lexington Flu Clinics. Tri-Ton Coalition Advisory Board Burlington.Lexington.Wilmington • If anyone needs a scribe at their Flu Clinics please send an email to the Tri-Ton email requesting assistance. • Rebecca is currently looking at Maternal and Child Health to possibly include infant CPR and a breastfeeding group. • If anyone has any ideas for Maternal and Child programs please let Susan know. VIII New Business • Looking ahead to future funding for PHE, FY27 funding appears to be set and DPH is looking into funding options in the event that FY28 funding is not guaranteed. • Katie will continue to send the monthly Shared Services reports and will let Shelly and Alicia know when the in-person meeting is with Patrick Henry from DPH if they would like to attend.
