1. Budget FY27
Joseph Estabrook Elementary School 1117 Grove Street I Lexington,MAI 02420
a. Initial Budget Meeting Completed. ILP staffing reviewed with ETS Johanna Hoxie. We will
continue with four classrooms (grades 1-5) for SY26-27. Next year we will graduate 7 fifth grade
students, allowing us to take a new group of Kindergarteners for SY 27-28. ILP budget
requests-One section of art and one of music for a handful of ILP students A second ask is for
more special education reading specialist consult time to support ILP teachers and students.
Gerardo requested.5 social worker dedicated to ILP.This position can help families who need
support accessing resources to help at home and at school.Additionally,with 24 SSIs we need to
be able to provide supports for the adults that serve our ILP cohort.
b. Moderate special education budget reviewed with ETS Jenn Beaulac. Caseload of teachers
reviewed in light of students moving to the middle school.We will hear later in the budget
process if our current allocation remains.
c. General education school based funds-general supplies, equipment,memberships/dues. Our
proposed allocation is 62,738,the same amount for the current fiscal year.We reviewed line
items and consolidated similar line items.
d. Sections (Currently 23,which is down two from previous year.We can go down to 22 next year.

2.Celebrating Academic Success
a. The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) invited
Estabrook, Bowman and Bridge to celebrate reaching pre-pandemic levels in 3-8 MCAS Math and
Literacy. Each school is inviting a team of 2-3 school staff to attend the conference. The three
Lexington elementary schools will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the
Commonwealth who also saw MCAS success. There will be a sharing of best practices,learning
from others and collaborating on future plans for continued success. Date: Wednesday, December
3 rd.
