Alright everyone, let's get our Lexington pride on and get this patriotic party
started! Time to shine about looking the part for our awesome mission celebrating
LEX250 at our Patriots Day Parade!
First things first: Your LEX250 Tee Shirt is your uniform for the day - please,
please don't forget to wear it! It's our team spirit jersey!
Now for your lower half: let's get those red, white, or blue pants or shorts on! Let's
paint the town in patriotic colors from head to toe (well, almost!). Feel free to top it off
with a red, white, or blue hat if you're feeling extra festive. I'll also have some fun
patriotic necklaces and headbands to share if you want to add some extra flair!
Since we'll be walking and maybe even dancing a couple of miles, comfy feet are key!
Sneakers or walking shoes are a must - let's leave the flip-flops at home. We
want happy feet ready to spread the flag love!
Now, about the unpredictable New England weather! Keep an eye on the forecast the
night before. If it's chilly, layer up with a long-sleeved shirt under your awesome
LEX250 tee. We've seen everything from scorching sunshine to chilly rain in the past,
so be prepared!
Let's dress comfortably, patriotically, and be ready for anything! Can't wait to see
everyone looking fantastic and full of spirit!
Time to roll up those sleeves and show Lexington what true American spirit looks
like - one flag at a time!
Our meeting spot: we'll be gathering between 12:00 PM and 12:15 PM at the corner of
Maple Street and Mass Avenue, right by the Gas Station. We will be in front of the
Parade.
Our mission kicks off around 1:30 PM, and we've got a huge task ahead of us: handing
out a whopping 15,000 American flags! We're expecting a huge crowd, especially as
we get closer to the Center of town, so get ready for lots of smiling faces.
To keep the energy high, we'll have our "BOOM Box" rolling along, blasting some
awesome patriotic tunes and US anthems. Your job is to be the flag ambassadors,
spreading the spirit by handing them out and getting everyone hyped up for the parade
that will be following us. Get ready to bust out some moves - it's going to be a street
party!
As you walk along both sides of the Avenue, make sure to share the flag love with as
many people as possible - just one flag per person, please! We need to make sure we
have enough to reach the end of the parade route. Don't worry about running out; we'll
have two golf carts, one on each side of the Ave, acting as mobile flag stations to refill
your aprons.
This is a BIG one! The town is counting on us to make this happen, and it's our largest
flag event yet - usually, we hand out around 5,000 flags, so this is truly epic!
Let's spread out, get engaged, and make sure everyone feels the patriotic excitement.
This is our chance to bring some real joy to the community, so let's have fun doing it!
