In 2021 more than 78,000 used Uber/Lyft in Lexington. Here are Susan's points: 1 . 30% of the rides were Seniors Approx. 23,400, $10 per ride and to cover the cost would be $200,000. 2. IF some Seniors cant pay for Uber/Lyft maybe they can go to human Services to apply for funds. 3. To promote FISH- more drivers and more awareness. 4. Also suggested people use The Ride from MBIA FISH isn't available for emergency or weekends, and we are looking for rides on demand vs scheduled. We discussed using 911 or calling a taxi, or Uber/Lyft. In November there will be an Uber/Lyft training and? MBIA training Sudhir reached out to Mr. Watson from AARP and he agreed Sudhir brought up some excellent points/needs. Discussed Go-Go Grandparents who have an emergency service. Not sure how other towns use this service . Ellen Had a few ideas about using receipts or a study to see how many Seniors need the emergency services- Sandra wondered about funding for Uber/Lyft and have people qualify. Bonnie wondered if FISH could be an on demand service? Discussed about Lexpress on weekends/nights as well Want to Invite Susan Barrett to our next working group meeting. To send Michelle questions we have for Susan in advance. Julie and John will speak to FISH and Lex At Home at the Wellness Fair on 9/25/2025 Meeting adjourned at 3:49pm Respectfully Submitted, Ellen Cameron
