20/20 Vision Committee Meeting
January 26,2018

The meeting was called to order at 7:50 a.m.
The minutes for the December 8, 2017 meeting were approved.
The meeting was primarily devoted to
■ Reviewing the Communication Project Proposal from the Scoping Group on E-
Government/Governance presented by Mark.
■ Identifying next steps for the Working Group on Social Diversity.
■ Confirming the dissolution of the Subcommittee on Asian Communities.
■ Receiving updates on the storage and management of the data collected during the 20/20 study
exercises.
Decisions
■ Expand the member size of the Scoping Group for the Communication Project.
■ Change the name of the Scoping Group for E-Commerce/E-Government.
■ The data from the survey on the Asian Communities will remain with Framingham State
University, and will not be shared with anyone else.
■ Social Diversity working group is currently on hiatus until more information is discovered about
the CompPlan.
■ The feedback for the review of the 20/20 website will be moved to the next meeting.
■ Add preparation for the observance of January 20/20 to the future agenda.
Action Items
■ Mark will review suggested changes to Communications project with scoping team and revise
proposal for review prior to 2 March 20/20 committee meeting.
■ Mark will look into comparable communities for specific demographics related to Lexington as
part of the Communications project.
■ Rajon will find out if a communications work group exist in MMA, and report the findings to the
committee.
■ Mark will talk to previous chairs (Dan and Margaret)to get insight on next steps for the
Communication Project with respect to OML, record keeping, etc.
■ Peter will reach out to Aaron Henry to get updates on the CompPlan.
■ Rajon will give the flash drive with the documentation from the Subcommittee on Asian
Communities to the Town Clerk to finalize the dissolution of the committee.
■ Mark will work with Candy to develop a comprehensive list of prior 20/20 Vision Committee
projects. Once the projects are identified,we will look for volunteers to identify the major
findings and impacts of each project.
