Building Performance Guidelines (Mark Sandeen) • Mark Sandeen provided an update of the building performance guidelines being developed for the Hasting building project. • The design team agreed to implement enhanced filtration and building performance monitoring. • The design team pushed back on solar installation. Solar options (with coordination of space with HVAC) need to be developed. • Also pushed back against all-electric options, but since the LEED assessment is based on use, not dollars, it might be able to be reassessed. • The 600 ppm target for CO2 is considered to be a challenge. Options were discussed for achieving 800ppm CO2. Lexington Energy Challenge (T. Rhodes) • The National Grid Community Incentive program has started. Our goal is 1,200 Home Energy Assessments in2018. If we meet the goal, the town should earn about $45,000. Historic Preservation Building Guidelines (M. Sandeen) • Committee reviewed the guidelines provided to the Historic Preservation Committee.
