Ferguson , at 8:05 P. M. There were 184 Town Meeting Members present. Article 27 presented- by Ruth Morey, Chairman of the School Committee. Article 27. VOTED : That the Moderator be and hereby is authorized and directed to appoint an Elementary School Facilities Committee of seven residents of the Town , two of whom shall be members of the School Committee, at the time of their appointment , to study elementary school building needs and report on the sufficiency of existing- facil- ities and to have authority to recommend expansion of these facilities and to obtain preliminary plans for such expansion; and that the sum of $6,500 be appropriated for the expenses of the -Committee and be provided by transfers as follows: $475.00 from the Elementary School Sites Committee Account , $972.50 from the Elementary School Building Program Committee Account , $578.86 from the High School Building Committee of Fifteen Account , and $4,473.64 from the Excess and Deficiency Account . General discussion . Amendment presented by John H. Devine as follows: Article 27.
