MEMORANDUM
TO: Members of the Design Advisory Group DATE: 11/18/87 PAGE:
FROM: Jack Eddison „6...-------
. J SUBJECT:
The Design Advisory Group
and Committee
This memorandum and its attachment are intended to bring
you up to date on the status and activities of the recently
reestablished Design Advisory Group and Design Advisory
Committee. As you probably know, the Design Advisory Group
(DAG) is the pool of design professionals living in Lexington
who have indicated a willingness, if called upon, to assist
the Board of Selectmen in making decisions on design questions.
The Design Advisory Committee (DAC) is the 9 person committee
appointed annually by the Selectmen from members of the larger
Design Group, which is charged to meet and provide advisory
assistance to the Selectmen on a regular monthly basis. The
attached summary of this year' s activities of the DAC, pre-
pared by its Chairman, John Frey, is intended to be the first
of such periodic reports to the members of the Group on what
the DAC is doing.
-- Both John Frey and I' would be happy to answer any questions
you may have about the Group or the Committee. We would also
welcome suggested names of other Lexingtonian design profes-
sionals who may be added to the group.
We are pleased with the start that has been made in
bringing to bear on design issues in the Town, the talents and
skills of its residents. We look forward to the future partici-
pation of all members of the Design Advisory Group in this
process.
