Chalpin, Chairman SUBJECT: Waltham Street at Traffic Safety Advisory Com,,i -e Vinebrook Road Mrs Stuart At its meeting of September 7, 1988, the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee met with Mrs. Katherine B Stuart to discuss her concern about Telephone Company trucks parking in the last metered space on Waltham Street approaching Vinebrook Road. When parked in this space, the trucks severely limit sight distance. The Committee does not feel that removal of this space is warranted or desirable. At the same time, however, we think it is an inappropriate location for the trucks to be parked, even if only briefly. Therefore, and since the problem appears to relate specifically and only to Telephone trucks, the Committee recommends that New England Telephone Company be contacted in writing and requested to refrain from parking in this space. Should this approach fail, the Board may wish to consider eliminating this parking space Those in Attendance: Peter M. Chalpin Dr. Clarke Mrs. Kabat-Zinn Sgt.
