Chalpin, Chairman SUBJECT: 2543 Massachusetts Avenue Traffic Safety Advisory Co.1"�'' - Mr. Hilton At its meeting of November 18, 1987, the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee met with Mr. James D. Hilton to discuss his request for a Guard Rail at 2543 Massachusetts Avenue. This property is located directly opposite the end of School Street, and there is ample evidence of cars mistakenly entering the property. The Committee recommends the following: 1. Installation of a "Stop" sign on School Street at Massachusetts Avenue; 2. Installation of a 9000 lumen HPS street light on Pole 57/187 to illuminate the intersection; 3. Installation of a steel guard rail in front of Mr. Hilton's home, the exact extent of which to be coordinated with Mr. Hilton. The cost of the street light will be $7.98 per month, and the guard rail is estimated to cost $1350 installed. Those in Attendance: Peter M. Chalpin Dr. Clarke Mrs. Kabat-Zinn Sgt.
