MEMORANDUM
To Allan F. Kenney, Chairman DATE. 5/23/75 PAGE.
Board of Selectmen
FROM John J . McSweeney, Chairman , SUBJECT' Hancock Street Parking -
Traffic Safety Committee \ , Mr. Greeley
J
After discussing Mr. Greeley's letter requesting that parking be limited
to one side of Hancock Street, it was the Committee's opinion that no partic-
ular problem exists at this time. Further, Chief Corr noted that any problems
which might be anticipated to arise on a particular holiday, could be averted
by the Police Department, which has the power to institute immediate parking
regulations anywhere in Town. It is therefore our recommendation that Mr.
Greeley's request be denied based on the fact that the Police Department will
take preventive measures at all potential trouble-spots during the upcoming
tourist season.
