Chalpin, Chairman(1;;Z SUBJECT: *848 Massachusetts Avenue Traffic Safety Advisory Com Traffic At its meeting of December 7, 1988, the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee met with Ms. Shirley Hamblen to discuss traffic on Massachusetts Avenue at *848. As you may recall, in 1986 the Board approved extensive improvements to the crosswalks in East Lexington, which included zebra stripes, relocation of crosswalks, no parking regulations and new crosswalks. As a result, there are now two striped crosswalks within 175' of *848 Massachusetts Avenue, and the Committee believes their location and visibility are sufficient. The Committee also finds that 30 MPH is an acceptable speed limit for the area, and recommends only increased enforcement at this time. Those in Attendance: Peter M.
