Home My WebLink About1986-TSAC-rpt.pdf Report of the Traffic Safety Committee - 1986 The Traffic Safety Advisory Committee considers requests for additions and changes in traffic control facilities made by citizens to the Selectmen. The Committee, considering each request from the point of view of safety, invites interested citizens to attend its meetings , and provides its recommenda- tions to the Board of Selectmen for final decision and action. Its members include representatives of the Police and Public Works/ Engineering departments and four qualified citizens . During 1986 requests considered included the following: Speed limit for Laconia Street "Slow Schools " for Diamond Junior High School Improvement of Massachusetts Avenue/Pleasant Street traffic flow Driveway into Camellia Place No left turn onto Bedford Street at the Racquet Club Parking on Militia Drive Speeding on Winthrop Road Speeding on Clarke Street by the ballfield Parking on Brookside Avenue Centerline for Lowell Street Driveway for Harvard Trust Company onto iv Massachusetts Avenue Speed limit on Lillian Road Parking on Fern Street "Slow - Children " on Larchmont Road Marking of school zones Crossing guards at Five Forks Speed limit on Iiassachusetts Avenue from Toaer Park to Pleasant Street Centerline on Hayes Avenue Parking on Idassachusetts Avenue near bieriam Street Bedford Street crosswalk near Shirley Street
