Chalpin, Chairman (;-/-7 SUBJECT: Pleasant Street/Fern Street Traffic Safety Advisory Comme At its meeting of March 22, 1989, the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee met with a group from the Pleasant Street/Fern Street neighborhood to discuss traffic concerns. The Committee recommends the following: 1. Extend the existing No Parking Regulation on Pleasant Street from Fern Street to house #29, on both sides; Z. Install a crosswalk between the bus stops on Pleasant Street at Fern Street; 3. Install a 7" high bituminous berm and sidewalk on the odd numbered side of Pleasant Street from Fern Street to House #29. This is approximately 800' , and, if done by Town forces, is estimated to cost $11,000. This estimate would at least double if the work were contracted; 4. Relocate the southernmost parking lot entrance to Wilson's to a point 175' + further south. In conjunction with this, widen Pleasant Street 3' to 4' toward the odd numbered side approaching this new entrance to allow a left turn stacking lane and the ehv "!aintain free flow ,ten Pleasant Street This :pork Is estimated to cost $2,0v0 if done by Town forces.
