Virtual Meeting MINUTES
April 16, 2025
Members Present (12 members; no vacancy): Glen Bassett, co-chair; Linda Dixon; Yifang
Gong; Dave Grabel; Mary Hutton; Cerise Jalelian; Lorain Marquis; Geetha Padaki, co-chair;
Sandy Podgorski; Sue Stering. Absent: Sondra Lucente; Karen Tyler, Veterans Liaison.
Honorary: Robert Tracey. Quorum: 7 Full Members.
Subcommittee Members Present (15 members, 4 vacancies): Sudha Balasuryan, Bonnie
Karshbaum, Brianna Karshbaum, Gresh Lattimore, Jamie Lee, Ashley Rooney, Pam Winters,
Hong Xie. Absent: Steve Cole, Mirela Vaso, Perla Walling-Sotolong, Huma Wasim.
Guests: Michael Tymm.
7:03 PM: Geetha called the meeting to order; then passed meeting to Glen.
7:06 PM: Minutes of April 9, 2025 were approved with modifications.
Patriots' Day (April 19) / Glen:
- Friday, April 18: (a) 7:15 am: Check-in with Henry Liu, former Lexington Minute Men,
Commanding, regarding their special viewing section at the Reenactment (b) 10:15 am golf
cart pickup from DPW (c) 3 pm golf cart training at Cerise's home at 7 Lois Lane.
- Parade Day, April 19: (a) 3:45 am: Certain TCC members to be present to patrol special
Minute Man viewing section (b) 10:45 am: as many TCC members as possible to be present
at the 11 am Re -Dedication of the Battle Green with Army Parachute Group expected at 11:19
am. Then Dignitaries will leave for their positions at the beginning of the Parade.
- Do not leave at the Parade's End: TCC members needed to direct the dispersal of the
marching units with Cerise and Mary.
Patriots' Day Parade: Dave became co -host of Meeting:
- Flyover/Pam: we expect 3 Blackhawk medical evacuation helicopters at 2:15 pm. (Concord
will have 2 F15 fighters and 1 KC46 aircraft at their parade at 10:16 am.)
- Extra Porta Potties may be available from DPW.
- Vehicles must have credentials. Glen and Gresh will then rejoin the Parade.
- 13 golf carts are expected to be available. Assignments have already been made.
- Dancers/Jamie: speakers are ready for the pre -Parade performances at Cary Hall.
- Ambassadors/Linda & Yifang: the needed number of poll bearers has been reached. Pam &
Sudha will contact each volunteer over the weekend.
Sponsors/Lorain: Numbers unchanged: $52,042 collected; additional $10,000 grant in hand
Banners/ Sudha: LexGraphics will have the required new banners made in good time.
Lex250/Cerise: Don't believe any Parade rumors you might hear. Our Parade is ready to
march off.
Other Business: None.
