[WARRANTY DEED.]
Know all Men by these Present,
That I Eli Simonds of Lexington in the County
of Middlesex & Commonwealth of Massachusetts yeoman
In Consideration of eighteen dollar paid by
the Inhabitants of Lexington in the County aforesaid
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Inhabitants
& their assigns a small lot of land in said
Lexington near the alms house on the old
County road containing one sixteenth of an
acre more or less and bounded as follows viz
Northwesterly on said road Southeasterly and
and Southerly on land of John Smith and
John C. Blasdell [Blaisdell],
To have and to hold the above-granted Premises, with the privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, to the
said Inhabitants and Assigns, to their use and behoof forever.
And I the said Simonds for me and my Heirs, Executors
and Administrators, do covenant with the said Inhabitants and
Assigns, that I am lawfully seized in fee of the afore-granted Premises; that they are free from all incumbrances
That I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Inhabitants
as aforesaid; and that I will, and my Heirs, Executors and Administrators shall Warrant and Defend the same
to the said Inhabitants and Assigns forever, against the lawful
claims and demands of all persons.
In Witness whereof, I the said Eli Simonds and Elizibeth
wife of said Eli
in token of her release of all right and title of or to dower in the granted premises,
have hereunto set our hands and seals this nineteenth day of February in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-nine
