Selectmen of Lexington & A.D. Weld, S T. Sanborn
& Wallace Whitney Selectmen of Winchester
met at the house of John Winning in Woburn,
at 9 O'clock A.M. and proceeded to perambulate
the town lines. We proceeded to a Monument
about 5 or 6 rods southerly of said Winning's
barn, standing in the wall and marked
S.W.W. that being a corner; thence southerly
to a corner of a field, where we found a Mon-
ument marked S.W. thence following a
wall we found a Monument standing be-
side a wall marked S.W. thence to a Mon-
ument standing beside a wall and an old
[illegible] way, marked L.W. thence to a Mon-
ument standing on an eminence in the
open land, and marked LW. thence a
cross a ravine, and upon a hill we found
a Monument marked L.& W.C and W.N011[?] 1830,
this being the corner of Lexington; thence
in a southwest direction, we found a Mon-
ument standing in the Woods near a ledge marked
S.W.C. thence in about the same direc-
tion to the corner Monument of Win- [Winchester]
[Winchester] chester standing on the brow of a hill -
the stone being on a ledge, and braced with
iron. This stone is mark L. & W.C & W.
These Monuments are in a good
condition
