HomeMy WebLinkAbout422 Report on the monuments between Lexington & Waltham, November 14, 1861Nov. 14. 1861 The Selectmen of Lexington and a member of the Board of Waltham met agreeably to appointment, to ascertain the points on the public highways, at which to erect monuments to marking the dividing line between the two towns. They agreed to erect a monument on the West road southerly of Isaac Parker's house, in the wall running northeasterly and southwesterly, which they believe to be the boundary between the towns.- They also found that the line crossed the direct road from Lexington to Waltham at the southerly abutment of a small culvert which passes under the road, and agreed that a monument should be erected at that point, to mark the division line.
