Charles Henson and Wm Henry Smith
Selectmen of Lexington and Oliver J. Lane
and William M. Ashby Selectmen of Bedford
met near the house of Daniel Cummings in
Lexington at 1 o'clock P. M. and proceeded to
view the monuments bounding the said
towns. We found a field stone near said
Cummings' marked L.B.B. - the initials of
Burlington Lexington and Bedford;
thence to a Monument
easterly of the Cemetary in Bedford mark-
ed L.B.; thence to a Monument beside
the County road near the "old Page
"Place," so called; thence to a Monument
standing beside a Meadow, easterly of
the house of Calvin Nurse [Nourse], and standing near
a ditch [blank space] thence to the corner[?] Monu-
ment of the Towns of Lexington, Bedford
and Lincoln in the pasture some 60 rods
S.E. of Dea. [Deacon] A. Hartwell,
marked L.B.L.
These monuments were all duly marked
with the initials of the towns they are de- [designed]
signed [designed] to seperate and are in a good condition.
The Monument on the main road
between Lexington and Bedford is an
intermediate bound to mark the line up
on the road
