HomeMy WebLinkAbout417 Report, monuments between Lexington & Bedford, November 19, 1861Nov. 19, 1861 The Selectmen of Bedford and of Lexington by their Agents, W.A. Stearns and Chas. Hudson, met according to appointment, and after hav- ing a line run by Mr. Sage, an approved Sur- veyor, from the Monument at the corner of Bedford and Lincoln in Deacon Hartwell's pasture to the Monument by the ditch easterly of the house of Mr. Calvin Nurse, and a due calculation made, agreed upon the location of a Monument by the side of the road run- ning by the house of Deacon Hartwell - the Monument to stand upon the Northerly side of the road, and to be marked with the initials of the two towns. The line is under- stood to be straight between the two first named Mon- uments. Also a Monument on the road next N.W. of the house of Daniel Cummmings. Charles Hudson For the Town of Lexington W. A.
