HomeMy WebLinkAbout414 Perambulation between Lexington & Waltham, December 2, 1865We the undersigned Selectmen of Lexington and the Selectmen of Waltham, having this day met according to appointment at the house of Addison Platts for the purpose of perambulating the lines between said towns make the following return of our doings. Beginning at a monument at the corner of Lexington Belmont and Waltham, which stands upon a hill about 100 rods south of the Concord turnpike: Thence westerly to a monument by the road near the house of said Platts : Thence to a monument by the road near the house of Archelaus Bennett in Waltham Thence to a monument standing by the road from Lexington to a Waltham, Thence to a large rock some 10 rods westerly of said road with the letters W.L. cut upon the top of it: Thence to a monument standing in the wall by a wood lot of Thomas Cutler of Lexington and about 5 rods westerly: of a swamp: Thence to a monument by the side of the road near the house of Isaac Parker in Lexington. Thence to a monument at the corner of Lincoln Waltham and Lexington standing in an open pasture near a large elm by an old cellar, and marked L.L.W.
