HomeMy WebLinkAbout411 Perambulation between Lexington & Lincoln, December 1, 1865We the the undersigned Selectmen of Lexington and of Lincoln, having this day and by appointment at the house, of Thomas H. Rhoades for the purpose of perambulating the line between the said towns, make the following return of our doings: Beginning at a monument at the corner of Lincoln Lexington & Waltham marked L.L.W. standing near a large elm tree by an old cellar; Thence to a monument by the road from Lexington to Weston; Thence to a monument by the Concord turnpike, Thence to a monument by the road from Lexington to Lincoln: Thence to a monument by the barn of Chas Brown standing on the top of a high ledge bolted to the same: Thence to a monument on the summit of Cranberry hill, Thence to a monument near the bottom of the hill in the Fassit land, Thence to a monument in the wall between the land of Chas Brown and that formerly of Cotting Thence by a ledge with a large detached piece upon it some 10 rods from the main road from Lexington to Concord regarded as upon the line to a monument by said road: Thence to a monument by the old concord road near the house of Mr Miller. Thence to a monument some 8 rods from the N.E. corner of the field back of the house of sd Miller standing in land now or formerly of the hiers [heirs] of Leonard Cutler:- Thence to a monument in the woods in land now or formerly of Jonas Munroe: Thence to a monument in land of Amos Hartwell at the corner of Lincoln Bedford and Lexington marked L.L.B.
