HomeMy WebLinkAbout410 Perambulation between Lexington & Bedford, November 18, 1865Agreeably to notice given to the town of Bedford, by the town of Lexington, to meet at the house of Daniel Cummings on the 18th day of Nov A.D. 1865, for the purpose of perambulating and running the lines between the said towns, and renewing the marks and bounds: we the subscribers have met at the time and place for the aforesaid purposes, and make the following return of our doings Beginning at a long field stone standing on end, near the house of said Cummings at the corner of Bedford, Lexington, and Burlington, and marked L.B.B. We proceeded thence to a monument standing in the woods easterly of the Cemetery in Bedford marked L.B. Thence to a monument beside the "old" country road, near the "old" Page place marked L.B. Thence to a monument in the meadow easterly of the house of Mr Pierce, standing by a ditch marked L.B. and thence to the corner of the towns of Bedford, Lexington, and Lincoln. The monument stands in the pasture some 50 rods S.E. of the house formerly occupied by Dea Amos Hartwell, and is marked L.L.B. These monuments are all properly marked and in good condition.
