HomeMy WebLinkAbout408 Perambulation between Lexington & West Cambridge, November 20, 1865Agreeably to notice given to the town of West Cambridge by the town of Lexington, to meet at the house of Oliver Winship in Lexington on Nov 20th A.D. 1865, for the purpose of perambulating and running the lines between said owns and renewing the marks and bounds. We the subscribers having met at the above line and place for the purpose aforesaid; make the following return of our doings. Beginning at the corner of Winchester at a monument standing o a ledge braced with iron rods marked W.C.L.W. Thence to a monument nearly east of the house of Oliver Winship in a pasture Thence to a monument beside the old turnpike now discontinued. Thence to a monument beside the present travelled way a few rods S.E. of the old Dickson place, Thence to a monument by the main road from Lexington to West Cambridge Thence to a monument on land of W. W. Chenery from which the wood has been recently cut, the bound stands on the northerly side of a "pond hole" Thence to a monument about 30 rods north of the old Bowman house Thence to a monument beside the road near the said house, Thence to a Monument standing on an eminence about 20 rods from the Watertown road L.W.C.&B. being the corner of West Cambridge and Belmont on Lexington line. All the above named bounds except the first and last are marked L.W.C. and all are in good condition.
