HomeMy WebLinkAbout2153 Report concerning land for the Burial Ground, 1841The Selectmen report that Mr Jonas M. Muzzey offers to
to take 200 dollars for a piece of land on the South side of the
New Burying Place so called which contains 94 square Rods reserving
to himself a pass-way of one rod in width through the same leaving
only 84 Rods for the town's use. He likewise offers to take 100 dollars
for a Piece on the North-Side of sd Burying-Place reserving to him
self a pass-way of one Rod in width through the whole which will not then
leave more than 24 square Rods suitable for a Burial Ground on sd
north side Although said piece Contains by measure most 77 Rods.
Mr Abijah Harrington offers to take 275 dollars for 2
acres of land suitable for a Buryal Ground down against the lower
end of Mrs Cutters land together with a passway to the same of one
Rod wide along side of the sd Mrs Cutters land provided the town
will fence and keep a gate up to the same
Sd. lot of land will require the Town
to build about 61 Rods of fence
