Members: Katherine Huang, Frederic Johnson, Howard Levin, Pamela Lyons, Jerold
Michelson (chair).
Liaisons: Joe Pato, BOS, Frank Smith, CEC, Megan Zammuto, EDO, David Pinsonneault,
DPW
Guest: Sally Hoops, Omar's World of Comics and Hobbies
One week after Bombogenisis (a storm of unusual intensity) DPW is continuing to clear the
snow in the center. It was noted that some Center businesses do not shovel or shovel
inadequately.
Megan introduced Sally Hoops of Omar's World of Comics and Hobbies (opening January
15th on Waltham Street where B-Tone was located.) EDD wrote a letter to HDC in support of
their signage. Omar's will have comics, board games, toys, action figures, events and game
nights. Sally can be reached at sally.hoops@owoch.com.
Abbott's Frozen Custard signed a ten-year lease at the old Candy Castle location. AFC hopes
to open in April.
Good Feet has exited the Center. A biotech company is coming to 19 Muzzey Street. The
Lexington Chamber of Commerce is holding its gala in Cary Hall this year, after a long stretch
of out of town venues.
Center-related TM Articles:
1. An oversight committee has been formed for the Streetscape project- project is now
seeking funds for design to go to 100%.
2. The new police station will be built in the current location barring unforseen
circumstances.
3. Douglas House is seeking CPA funds for renovations.
4. Track renovations and lighting. (Anyone care to edit this entry?)
All members were reminded to attend to their State Ethics Commission certification. Our
next meeting is Thursday, February 8th, at 8:30 am.
