Commissioners Present: Lee Noel Chase, Edward Adelman, Dan Hisel, Paul O'Shaughnessy, Robin

Chair Lee Noel Chase called the April 3, 2025 Historic Districts Commission meeting to order at
6:01pm.
FORMAL HEARINGS
Chair Lee Noel Chase opened the formal hearing for 13 Depot Square, exterior alterations (Murals)
in the Battle Green Historic District

Senior Economic Development Coordinator Jay Abdella, Economic Development Director Sandhya Iyer,
and artist Kit Collins explained the proposed murals plans. Ms. Iyer pointed out that the details of entire
murals are open to public online, and the murals will be presented for one year for the celebration. The
murals will be removed on July 31 ", 2030.

The Commissioners agreed that the proposed Mural plans were appropriate. Paul O'Shaughnessy recused
himself because he is the board member of Lexington History Museum.
Paul O'Shaughnessy and Anne Lee expressed their supports of this application.
Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to
13 Depot Square. Motion carried, All in favor.

alterations (Signage) in the Battle Green Historic District

(Rooftop Solar Panels) in the Hancock Clark Historic District

The applicants Peter Sanborn and Sharon Oleksiak explained the proposed plans for the installation of a
solar array on one south-west facing roof panel in the middle of the ell of the house, which is invisible
from either Hancock Street or Hancock Avenue.
The Commissioners reviewed and approved the submitted solar plans on the condition of amending
installation details of equipment on the side of building. Edward Adelman will serve as liaison for this
application to administratively approve the location of conduit. The Conduits was required to be covered
or painted so that it will be blended into the trim.
No public comments.

Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to
30 Hancock Street on the condition of Edward Adelman's administrative approval of the conduit
location. Motion carried, All in favor.

alterations (Rooftop Solar Panels) in the Munroe Tavern Historic District

The applicant Brenden Reagan from Isaksen Solar explained the proposed rooftop solar panel plans to the
structure at 1347 Mass Ave.
The Commissioners reviewed and approved the submitted solar panels plans on the condition of placement
and screening of the electrical components, paintable conduit, and centering of the panels. Edward
Adelman will serve as liaison for this application to administratively approve the placement and screening
of the electrical components: fused AC disconnect; transfer switch; utility meter; and service panel.
No Public Comments.
Motion was granted and seconded to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior changes to
30 Hancock Street on the condition of Edward Adelman's administrative approval of placement
and screening of the electrical components, paintable conduit, and centering of the panels. Motion
carried, All in favor.
ACTION ITEMS
Consideration and vote on Election for Vice Chair
Edward Adelman was nominated as the Vice Chair by Lee Noel Chase. The motion was seconded by Paul
O'Shaughnessy. Motion carried. All in favor.
