One member mentioned she was 1.2.y u n ar .�n . ................. ...... t ............. 2 ........... blown away by the experience with tears in her eyes... talked about inclusivity, music, Mr. Placement Process for 2025-26 Wan, spirit....etc. Another member discussed her classroom MCAS Overview experience during a math lesson (using a pizza). She was so impressed by that visit; the Updated jnnovat�on Puan share ............................................................................................................ teachers, the work that is happening, etc. More discussions of the hawk sightings and the social emotional piece of our Town Reps and school community. Impressed that students were not distracted by visitors... Julie mentioned that the kids are used to adults coming in and out of the classroom. New business: Patriots Day Parade- April 19th Future Dates: May 2, 2025 Classroom placement discussion. Optional feedback form went out. The process of creating placement from a school perspective. The teachers said they put a lot of thought into the entire process... more talk about the need to balance the classroom perspective. Jackie explained the specialists' perspective because they see every student in the school. *Announcement Break* Continue discussion on placement and the intricate details involved. Very helpful for the parents to understand and let other parents know. Rory O'Connor explained the new testing platform for the MCAS this year. Student kiosk, more user friendly but some changes are not ideal (like choosing color, teachers not knowing where the students are in the test ex: "15 minutes left" and now it just says "in progress"). Rory answers some parent questions about the tech side of MCAS. Jackie discussed the accesibility side of the test for modified learners. Innovation plan. Patriots Day Parade Harrington Jackie encouraged parents and teachers to get the word out for the 250th! Can Food Drive... parents and teachers discussed how engaged the students are at home and understanding that giving is important and fun! May 2nd next meeting for the year. Meeting closed.
