teachers, the work that is happening, etc.
More discussions of the hawk sightings and
the social emotional piece of our Town Reps
and school community.
Impressed that students were not distracted
by visitors... Julie mentioned that the kids are
used to adults coming in and out of the
classroom.

Classroom placement discussion. Optional
feedback form went out. The process of
creating placement from a school perspective.
The teachers said they put a lot of thought
into the entire process... more talk about the
need to balance the classroom perspective.
Jackie explained the specialists' perspective
because they see every student in the school.
*Announcement Break*
Continue discussion on placement and the
intricate details involved. Very helpful for the
parents to understand and let other parents
know.
Rory O'Connor explained the new testing
platform for the MCAS this year. Student kiosk,
more user friendly but some changes are not
ideal (like choosing color, teachers not
knowing where the students are in the test ex:
"15 minutes left" and now it just says "in
progress"). Rory answers some parent
questions about the tech side of MCAS. Jackie
discussed the accesibility side of the test for
modified learners.
Innovation plan.
Patriots Day Parade Harrington Jackie
encouraged parents and teachers to get the
word out for the 250th!
Can Food Drive... parents and teachers
discussed how engaged the students are at
home and understanding that giving is
important and fun!
May 2nd next meeting for the year.
Meeting closed.
