LexCelebrate'(3ooth LOGO)March 16&17 Learn *Eat *Dance Play(LCIW LOGO) o Betsy Series will design • Electronic media for LCIW— o Cheryl Meadow and team, Kim Effron—listsery posts and Karin Gehring —Facebook and Twitter o idea is that all PR generated (Minuteman, Patch, Colonial Times, 3ooth website, etc., plus images) should be cc'd to this team so they can respond to it, • LexMedia— o Polly(Mass Memories Road Show), Betty& Polly(LCIW), Geetha & Melanie (Dance Around the World), and Jessie (Bentley Boyd book, 3ooth swag, and donations)were interviewed by Colleen Smith for her LexGo! talk show last Friday o the show will start to air starting March I. o social media PR team will tweet/facebook/listsery o LexMedia will show a LCIW slide on the community bulletin board, using same text as on sandwich board • Matching grant— o ad with Betsy's piggy bank graphic appearing in Jan Colonial Times, o matching grant challenge to be extended to Feb 28, o A new grant article will be sent to the Minuteman (Sue R ) Polly will submit to Patch, each one of us should "share" (not like!) Facebook post, Also reissue a Constant Contact post—use pig/money ad (TURN OVER TO OTHER SIDE— THERE'S MORE!) 1 LCIW Planning—PR 1/16/13 What can LCIW team members do to help? - Continue to fill in sign-up sheet for Minuteman articles - If you think of a topic for a publicity piece or identify an undiscovered audience that needs to hear about what we are doing, speak up! You can write or pass news on - Some great ways of passing news on are o Keep up on this week's publicity—tell your friends, neighbors,family, and colleagues if there is an article/post/website entry they would find interesting Word-of-mouth is a very powerful force! o Use your social media skills, if you like that sort of thing For example, if you use Facebook,find the Lexington 3ooth Facebook page and "like" it As a result, 3ooth posts will appear on your Facebook page feed When you receive those posts,you can "share"them, which will send them to your Facebook friends'feeds This tactic is very important at the moment, as we work to spread the word about the Challenge Grant. 2
