HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-05-09LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS May 9, 1985 Pursuant to notice in the Lexington Minute -Man, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town, published on April 25 and May 2, 1985 and notice sent by mail, postage prepaid, to all interested parties pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, public hearings were held in the Town Office Building on the petitions listed below. Acting on the petitions were: Chairman Thomas G. Taylor, Vice Chairman Natalie H. Riffin, Robert M. Gary, Anne R. Scigliano, and Clarence D. Turner. 10 Pearl Street: Robert Mabardy requested a special permit, in accordance with Zoning By -Law Section 5.7, for the construction of an inground swimming pool. 72 Lowell Street: David and Janice Hui requested a special permit, in accord- ance with Zoning By -Law Section 5.3, for the alteration of a one family dwell- ing to accommodate two families. 371 Massachusetts Avenue: Paul H. Budlong, North Shore, Inc., d/b/a Party Pal requested a special permit, in accordance with Zoning By -Law Section 10.2.5 (Sign Regulations) to allow the installation of an internally illuminated wall sign at 371 Massachusetts Avenue. 537 Lowell Street: Hugh M. Leichtman requested a special permit, pursuant to Table 1, line 9.1 and Section 3.3, to continue to use the remodeled barn at 537 Lowell Street for living quarters under the same conditions of the previous special permit. 35 Bedford Street: A request by Health Stop Medical Management, Inc. for a standing sign was made, BUT the application was withdrawn before a.hearing was advertised. 1088 Massachusetts Avenue: A request by Wendy Tighe -Hendrickson for a special permit to use a portion of her residence as an office was made, BUT petitioner requested that the petition not be heard on this date. 211 Massachusetts Avenue: Gaye Pickrel, Goodies to Go requested a special permit in accordance with Section 3.3 and Table 1, lines 6.12, 6.13 and 6.14 to operate an ice cream and dessert shoppe and a kitchen for Goodies take out menu. 21 Pearl Street: Michael L. Libin requested a variance of dimensional controls, Section 7.4.1 b, to allow construction of an addition which would have insuffi- cient side yard. 30 Albemarle Avenue: Mary T. Brennan requested a variance of Section 7 and Table 2 to construct a dwelling at 30 Albemarle Avenue. 26 Liberty Avenue: Elizabeth M. Gaughan requested a variance of dimensional controls, Section 7 and Table 2, to construct a dwelling with insufficient setback at 26 Liberty Avenue. Decisions filed with the Town Clerk: 10 Pearl St. - Special Permit granted, by unanimous vote. 72 Lowell St. — Special Permit granted, by unanimous vote. 371 Mass. Ave. — Special Permit granted, by unanimous vote. 537 Lowell St. - Special Permit granted for one year, by unanimous vote. 211 Mass. Ave. - Special Permit granted, by unanimous vote. 21 Pearl St. - Special Permit granted, by unanimous vote. 30 Albemarle Ave. - Variance denied, by unanimous vote. 26 Liberty Ave. - Variance granted, by unanimous vote.
