February 28, 1985
Pursuant to notice in the Lexington Minute -Man, a newspaper of general
circulation in the Town, published on February 14 and 21, 1985 and notice
sent by mail, postage prepaid, to all interested parties pursuant to the
provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, public hearings were held in the
Town Office Building on the petitions listed below. Acting on the petitions
were: Chairman Thomas G. Taylor, Vice Chairman Natalie H. Riffin, Robert M.
Gary, Anne R. Scigliano and Associate Member Mary W. Miley.
22 Muzzey St., Daniel C. Yuill, Twenty Muzzey Realty Trust, requested a special
permit, in accordance with Zoning By -Law Section 5.3, for the conversion of a
one family dwelling to accommodate two families.
31 Chase Ave., Elaine M. Sullivan requested a special permit, in accordance
with Zoning By -Law Section 7.4.9, for the continued use of the single family
house at 31 Chase Avenue.
197 Massachusetts Ave., Richard Vasapolli requested a special permit, in
accordance with Table 1, line 6.6, for a Karate School for group, private,
children's classes and arobics at 197 Massachusetts Avenue.
2 Wallis Court, Wallis Court Associates requested a variance from Sec. 11 (Off -
Street Parking & Loading) to reduce the number of required parking spaces, or
reduce required setback, or reduce maneuvering space at 2 Wallis Court.
6 North Hancock St., Richard P. Folsom. A hearing, held on January 24 was con-
tinued to February 14 and then further continued to February 28, because at the
January 24 hearing (on the request to extend its take out food service, by add-
ing seafood products & poultry at the food market) Petitioner said that he
wished to be allowed to cook the food on the premises before selling it. Many
neighbors had great objection to the frying of fish. At the Feb. 28 meeting
Board Members continued its discussion in an attempt to arrive at a final
decision, including conditions of a permit, if granted.

The Board discussed the Planning Board's Proposed By -Law Changes with the
Planning Board. No formal action was taken. It is expected that the proposed
changes will be further revised prior to being submitted to Town Meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 11:25 p.m.
