HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-09-20 LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS September 20, 1984 The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at 7 45 P M. Present and acting on petitions were Chairman Thomas G. Taylor, Vice Chairman Natalie H. Rif fin, Robert M. Gary, Anne R. Scigliano and Clarence D. Turner Public hearings were held on the following petitions 6 Sherburne Rd. , Frederick E and Ellen J Wallach, Jerry and Maxine Wasserman, Robert L. Lyon and John A. and Theresa R. Tarule An appeal from the decision of the Building Commissioner to issue a building permit an July 23, 1984, to Fine Homes Realty, Inc for the construction of a new dwelling at 6 Sherburne Rd. 6 Sherburne Rd. The Planning Board made an appeal from a decision of the Building Commissioner dated May 23, 1984 failing to revoke a building permit at 6 Sherburne Rd 6 Sherburne Rd. The Planning Board made a second appeal from the decision by the Building Commissioner to issue on July 23, 1984 a building permit for construction at 6 Sherburne Rd. 17 Depot Sq , Church & Cote' Jewelers requested a special permit to allow a second sign, larger thatn allowed under ZBL 10.4.1 b, to be placed on the building at 17 Depot Square, pursuant to ZBL Section 10 1.4 121 Hartwell Ave , Varian Associated, Inc. requested a special permit to install a 600 sq ft. accessory "shelter/building" 49 Robbins Rd. , Philip Dunbar requested a variance from Section 6 3 to add a second level addition to a lawfully existing dwelling which does not conform to the 30 ft front yard setback requirement 68 Farmcrest Ave , Raymond M. and Regina L. Carberry requested a variance of dimensional controls (Section 7.1 and Table 2) to complete construction of a proposed expanded front entryway. Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. (in the order as listed above) 6 Sherburne Rd. - The Board upheld the action of the Building Commissioner 6 Sherburne Rd. - The Board upheld the action of the Building Commissioner 6 Sherburne Rd - The action of the Building Commissioner in issuing the permit was proper (please see decisions for details) 17 Depot SI - SP granted unanimously for another sign 121 Hartwell Ave - SP granted unanimously for an accessory building 49 Robbins Rd - V granted to allow second level addition (vote was unanimous) 68 Farmcrest Ave - Request made to hold a new hearing on Oct 25 was granted The meeting adjourned at 11 58 P M.
