LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS
III March 8, 1984
The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at
7 45 P.M. Present and acting on petitions were

Public hearings were held on the following petitions
7 Whittier Road, Michael and Anita Chow requested a special permit to construct a
swimming pool, pursuant to Zoning By-Law Section 7 4 9 and 3 3, to allow a cabana
to remain as it has been located since 1975, too close to a lot line
20 Worthen Rd. , Shawmut County Bank, N A. requested a special permit, pursuant to
Zoning By-Law Table 1, line 6.4, to expand its branch bank, established in 1966
at 20 Worthen Rd. , into the adjacent 1,000 sq ft area of the existing building
which fronts on 39 Bedford St The bank's address will remain 20 Worthen Rd
2 Springdale Rd. , Joseph and Rita Maggiore requested a special permit, pursuant to
Zoning By-Law Section 7 4.9 and 3.3, to allow a cabana to remain as it has been
located since 1975, too close to a lot line.
III440 Bedford St. , Lexington Chalet, Inc requested a special permit to construct a
two-story (total 4,000 sq ft.) addition at 440 Bedford St The addition will
contain a new lobby and office areas for hotel personnel The space which they
now occupy will be converted to hotel guest rooms (ZBL Section 3 4 and Table 1,
line 1.5) .

7 Whittier Rd. - SP granted, unanimously
20 Worthen Rd. - SP granted, unanimously
2 Springdale Rd. - Petitioner requested to be allowed to withdraw without prejudice
The Board granted, unanimously, the request
440 Bedford St. - SPS granted, unanimously
The meeting adjourned at 10 45 P M.
