LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS
January 26., 1984
The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room
at 7 45 P M. Present and acting on petitions were
Thomas G Taylor, Chairman "Sat" and acted upon 38 Adams
(except for 38 Adams St hearing) Street hearing
Natalie H. Rif fin, Vice Chairman Jonathan P Doran, Associate

Clarence D. Turner
Public hearings were held on the following petitions.
36 PerCy Rd. , Arlene E. Way requested a special permit for the continued use of
the garage as located 6 feet from a side lot line
8 Carriage Dr , Allen Batzinger requested a variance of dimensional controls,
Section 7 and Table 2, to construct a boatport 11 feet from a side lot line.
73 Grassland St , Barbara and Ronald DeMille requested a variance to allow 5 9
ft. side yard for existing stairs
38 Adams St. , George S Redick requested a specisl permit to operate and maintain
a commercial greenhouse and retail nursery business for the growing of orchids
and ferns and sale of them by mail order and limited appointment in accordance
with Zoning By-Law Table 1, Line 3 2 (RO zone)
III 93 Hancock St , Lexington Gardens requested a special permit to continue to store
and sell the supplementary items, listed under Zoning By-Law Section 5 5 (Nurseries)
Paragraph 1, for two years.
92-100 Hayden Ave , Mortimer B Zuckerman and Edward H. Linde, Trustees of 92
Hayden Ave Trust, requested (1) to modify the existing permits for the property
at 92-100 Hayden Ave to permit the uses as set forth in the current ZBL Table 1,
line 7.2, for the existing building; and (2) a special permit together with site
plan review under provisions of ZBL Section 3 4 in order to construct and operate
an additional building for office and research park purposes for the uses provided
in ZBL Table 1, Lines 4 1 - 4 4 and 7.2
92-100 Hayden Ave , Mortimer B Zuckerman and Edward H Linde, Trustees of 92
Hayden Ave Trust, requested a variance under ZBL Section 3.2 2 to vary the
minimum width of parking aisles from 24 feet, as spec_fied in ZBL Section 9 8.2,
to 20 feet.

In favor of limiting SP to mail order only (for two years) Natalie H.
Riff in and Clarence D. Turner;
In opposition, denying SP requested Robert M. Gary and Anne R. Scigliano.
98 Hancock St - SP granted for two years
92-100 Hayden Ave - granted, unanimously, the following
Special Permit with site plan review;
Modification of former permits to include uses under Table 1, line 7 2;
Variance for width of parking aisles
