The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room.

Public hearings were held on the following petitions (3).
76 Bloomfield St., Charles H. and Marguerite M. Gager requested variance of
dimensional controls to construct a two-story addition (251x7h') to front of
house (built in 1908). The addition will replace an existing single -story,
open porch (231x7li'). Also - requested to add an attached screened porch
(201x73i') to west side of existing structure. Front yard setback to steps
will be 221, instead of the required 301; setback to porch will be 27'.
20 Waltham St., Cory's of Lexington, Inc. requested a special permit for a
projecting sign.
363 Massachusetts Avenue, Ruth Benoit d/b/a The Kitchen requested a special
' permit to extend hours of operation of restaurant and take-out service. -
Special Permit granted in 1979 allows hours to 7:00 p.m.
Decisions filed with the Town Clerk.
76 Bloomfield St.
Variance granted unanimously.
20 Waltham St.
SP denied unanimously.
363 Mass. Ave.
SP granted allowing closing hours (as follows) for 2 years (exp. date 3/25/84)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - no orders may be taken after
9:30 p.m. Closing hour 10:00 p.m. sharp.
Friday and Saturday - no orders may be taken after 10:30 p.m.
Closing hour 11:00 p.m. sharp.
Conditions of 1979 SP remain valid. A new condition states that the rear
door of restaurant may be used for employees, deliveries and as an emergency
exit for customers. Petitioner must reapply before 3/25%84 if the later
hours are to be extended further.or continued as listed above.
