The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room.

A public hearing was held on the following:
1644 Massachusetts Avenue, LaTienda Sister City Store, Inc., D/B/A LaTienda
Mexican Shop - special permit for a projecting sign.
Decision filed with the Town Clerk.
Special Permit granted unanimously for the projecting sign.
Other business
Lexington Town Employees Federal Credit Union, by Attorney Paul H. Deragon,
requested a variance from Section 5, Use Regulations, Table 1, to use the building
' identified as Unit #12, 1009-1049 Massachusetts Avenue to conduct the business of
this federally charted credit union on Wednesdays and Fridays only, between 10:00
a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The hearing was scheduled for December 17, 1981 in the Town
Office Building at 7:40 p.m.
The petition, plans, etc. were distributed to Town boards, departments and
officials: Building Commissioner, Conservation, Engineering, Health, Planning
Board and Selectmen. Strong recommendations were forthcoming in the nature of
statements such as "This is a use variance and the Board cannot entertain same."
The Building Commissioner said, "No comment at this time." Planning Diredtor
wrote, "This may be a use variance; comment to follow. RAB"
Paul H. Deragon wrote, "Now comes the applicant in the above entitled
application for variance and withdraws his application filed with the Board on
November 24, 1981."
Action: The Board voted to allow the petition to be withdrawn without
prejudice. The vote was unanimous.
Adjourned 9:52 p.m.
' P.S. After the meeting was adjourned
the Board discussed the sign regulations,
Eric T. Clarke having brought the matter
before the Board. Eric Clarke wanted
clarification from the Town Counsel.
No official votes taken.
