The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room.
Present: Ruth Morey, Chairman
Woodruff M. Brodhead
Irving H. Mabee
William J. Scouler, Associate
Clarence D. Turner, Associate
Public hearings were held on the following petitions.
17 John Poulter Rd., Leonard Dress - special permit for a swimming pool.
8 Springdale Rd., Marvin B. Scott - variance of dimensional controls to allow
construction of an addition.
18 Brent Rd., Adams Pool Corp. - special permit to increase membership authoriza-
tion to one hundred bond holders in the Adams Pool Corp. (formerly 316 Emerson Rd.)
1734 Mass. Ave., Snack -Time, Inc., Gerald M. Gilbert - for take-out food service
for the sale specifically of pastries, sandwiches, and pizza to be baked on the
premises.
8 Morris St., Huberte Maillet - variance to allow construction of a single family
dwelling on land at 8 Morris St., identified on a plan as Lot 13, containing an
area of 5,000 sq. ft. and frontage of 50 ft. Petitioner currently holds an option
to purchase the property.
(Lot 43A) Vaille Ave., James A. Bruce - a variance to allow a house to be constructed
with insufficient frontyard setback (according to zbl dimensional controls). Land
is located between street numbers 36 and 40 Vaille Ave. Petitioner has a Purchase
and Sales Agreement.
Decisions filed with the Town Clerk.
17 John Poulter Rd. - unanimously granted.
8 Springdale Rd. - granted unanimously, a variance allowing a side yard of 13' on
the side nearest conservation land, so that an addition may be constructed in a
manner which will insure that the conservation land will not be required for access
to the garage or any other part of the addition.
18 Brent Rd. - unanimously granted.
1734 Mass. Ave. - unanimously granted with conditions.
8 Morris St. - Denied by a vote of 3 to 2
Vaille Ave. - Denied, unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 11:28 p.m.
