January 31, 1980
7:30 p.m.
The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room.
Present: Ruth Morey, Chairman
Woodruff M. Brodhead
Robert A. Bowyer, Associate
Eric T. Clarke, Associate
William J. Scouler, Associate
A public hearing was held on the following.
Potter Pond (development), at Ooncord Avenue and Walnut St., Potter Pond Village
Association by F. William Smith - site plan review and special permit (SPS) under
Section 38 (multi -dwelling district -RD) for "Potter Pond" development and for
dimensional variances: to wit, waiver of 30 foot minimum distance between (garage)
buildings or allowance of three (3) six car garages. Petitioner has the property
under purchase agreement with William L. Potter et al., as Trustees of Walnut
Farm Trust, and Margaret M. Riley.
Several areas of disagreement or lack of evidence were identified. Several
people spoke in favor of the project, James and Marian Reilly spoke in opposition.
The Board of Appeals, of the opinion it could not grant a special permit
until the areas of disagreement were resolved and additional information supplied,
voted unanimously to continue the hearing until February 14, 1980 at 8 p.m.
(Please see decision filed with the Town Clerk for details.)
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Evelyn F. Cole
Administrative Clerk
