' The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room
beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings
having been mailed and advertised as required by statute.
North Street (between numbers 79 & 51 North St. -Map 76, Lot 43A), Peter F. DiMatteo
- variance from Section 27, Schedule of Dimensional Controls, in order to construct
a single-family residence with attached garage. Lot has sufficient area but inade-
quate frontage according to Lexington Zoning By-law.
523 Lowell Street, Jan L. Meades - variance to maintain dwelling and garage as
presently located.
1050 Waltham St., Haynes Management, Inc. - special permit for an office building
and variance for reduction in parking spaces for both the existing building and
the proposed building. Also a variance, if needed, from Section 1 (fire lane) and
aisle width requirement.
' 311 Concord Avenue, Gordon L. Brigham - appeal - being aggrieved by an order of the
building commissioner relating to the use of an accessory building at 311 Concord
Ave. Appellant requests the Board to grant appeal and vacate the order of the
building commissioner.
311 Concord Ave., Gordon L. Brigham - special permit to use the garden house as
accessory to a residential use, the letting or renting of the said garden house
(which consists of two rooms) without cooking facilities to not more than three
persons. Petitioner, in his application, refers to Section 25.91 and also claims
the garden house is a lawfully existing non -conforming building. The applicant
requests that the Board grant this special permit in the event that the Board
determines that the order of the Building Commissioner dated March 14, 1979, from
which the applicant has taken an appeal to this Board is not in error.
Decisions filed with the Town Clerk.
North St. - denied 4 to 1 (Ruth Morey voting in favor).
523 Lowell St. - granted by vote of 4 to 1 in favor (Thomas G. Taylor in opposition).
1050 Waltham St. - granted unanimously.
311 Concord Ave. (appeal) Board upheld Building Commissioner.
(SP) denied unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 10:50 p.m.
