April 12, 1979
The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room
beginning at 7 30 p m.

Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings
having been mailed and advertised as required by statute
24 Colony Road, Maurice H. Pease, Jr and Mary Jane Case Pease - variance to main-
tain house and garage as presently located.
643 Waltham Street, James B. Catalano - renewal of special permit to continue
operations of retail business of selling flowers, produce and plants grown on the
premises known as Whitehouse Gardens
1734 Massachusetts Avenue, George Athanasiadis - special permit for take out food
service for the sale specifically of pastries, sandwiches and pizza to be baked
on the premises now being operated as Cheryl's Bakery
33 Marrett Road, Trustees of the Supreme Council, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite
of Freemasonry (A.A.S.R.) - special permitto allow a single family dwelling to

be erected a of land owned by them, said lot consisting of 46,826 sq ft.
of land, located at the sw corner of the property known as 33 Marrett Rd. The
purpose of this dwelling is to provide a home for an employee of the Supreme
Council It is not the intention of the Council to develop a commercial enterprise
75 Concord Ave. , GCC Communications of Boston, Inc. - special permit to maintain
existing property including the transmitting/studio/office building and four radio
towers and to add a new 160 ft. receiving tower to be attached to the main building
and rise 118 feet above the roof (variance of height limitations)

24 Colony Rd. - unanimously granted.
643 Waltham St. - unanimously granted (expiration date April 12 , 1981)
1734 Mass Ave. - unanimously granted a special permit for take out food service;
denied, 2 to 2, a request for later hours & Sunday hours (1 absent)
75 Concord Ave - granted unanimously with conditions
33 Marrett Rd. - granted unanimously
The Board discussed fees No official action was taken but the sense of the
discussion was to consider raising fees (SP's and variancesto $50 & site plan
reviews to $200)
The meeting adjourned at 10 45 p m.
