HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-10-27BOARD OF APPEALS October 27, 1977 The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, October 27, 1977, beginning at 7:30 p.m., in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, Town Office Building. Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman Ruth Morey, Vice Chairman Irving H. Mabee Thomas G. Taylor A. Lee Whitman, Associate Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of the hearings having been mailed and hearings advertised in�the Lexington Minute -Man newspaper as required by statute. Follen Church Society - special permit, as required by Section 25.34 of the Lex- ington Zoning By-law, to sell Christmas trees and wreaths on the premises at 764 Massachusetts Avenue. Robert A. Berezin, M.D. - special permit, pursuant to Sections 25.81 and 12.2, to use a portion of the dwelling at 3 Fern Street for an office for the practice of psychotherapy. Nicole DiMarzo - variance of Section 25.52 and other applicable sections of the Zoning By-law to allow the parking of motor vehicles on the southwest side of the rear portion of the parcel (RS district) numbered 365 Waltham Street. Theodore L. Freeman - special permit, pursuant to Section 33 and other applicable sections of the Zoning By-law, to subdivide a 45 acre tract of land as a planned unit development for the property located at 23 Ridge Road, 47 Ridge Road, 49 Ridge Road, and 124 Laconia Street. Said application is for a planned unit dev- elopment (PUD) of 56 single family house lots of not less than 20,000 square feet per lot and with frontage of not less than 120 feet except as modified under Sec- tion 33.42, all according to plans submitted with the application and on file at the Board of Appeals Office, Town Office Building. DECISIONS: The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting. See de- cisions filed with the Town Clerk and in Board of Appeals' files for more details. Follen - granted for 3 years, unanimously. Berezin - granted unanimously subject to certain conditions. DiMarzo - denied (3 in opposition: Thomas G. Taylor, Irving H. Mabee and A.
