' The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, May 12, 1977, begin-
ning at 7:30 p.m., in the Town Office Building, Selectmen's Meeting Room.
Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman
Ruth Morey, Vice Chairman

Clarence D. Turner, Associate
Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of the hearings
having been mailed and hearings advertised in the Lexington Minute -Man newspaper
as required by statute.
Peter S. Tasker - special permit, pursuant to Section 30.3, to maintain the exist-
ing house at 36 Kendall Road with a setback of 25.95 feet instead of the 30 feet
required, and to expand the sunroom by extending the foundation to the rear line
of the house and adding a second floor. The existing metal garage to the rear of
the property will also be removed.
Kendrick G. Bushnell and Marcia M. Bushnell - variance of Section 27 to build a
two -car garage at 30 Bloomfield Street with a five ft. sideyard instead of the
required 15 ft.
' Francis A. Cote - variance of Section 27 in order to build a one -car garage and
breezeway at 6 Bennett Avenue (corner of Chase Ave.) which will leave a sideyard
of 9 1/2 ft. instead of the required 20 ft. from a secondary street.
Camillo Sganga variances of Section 27 in order to build a house at 88 Cliffe
Avenue on Lots 32 and 33, containing 4,200 sq. ft., a sideyard of 8.33 ft. instead
of the required 10 ft., and a frontyard setback of 25 ft. instead of the required
30 ft.
Stephen I. Owren, D/B/A Lexington Realty and his heirs, successors and assigns -
special permit as provided for in Section III, d, of the Sign By-law in order to
erect and maintain a special sign upon the premises at 1844 Massachsuetts Avenue,
which are under lease by the said petitioner. Specifications for said sign are
contained in four drawings and also in the "Certificate of Appropriateness" as
issued by the Historic Districts Commission, all submitted with petition to the
Board of Appeals.
DECISIONS: The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting. See
decisions for details, all in Board of Appeals' files and also filed with the
Town Clerk.
Tasker - granted unanimously.
Bushnell -granted unanimously.
Cote - granted, 4 to 1, Thomas G. Taylor not in favor.
S_ ganga - granted unanimously.
Owren - granted unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
