IIIThis Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, March 31, 1977;
beginning at 7 30 p m. , in the Town Office Building, Selectmen's Meeting Room.

Pu lic hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of the hear-
ings ha ' ng been mailed and hearings advertised in the Lexington Minute-Man
newspaper as required by statute
Sun Valey Associates, Inc - special permit to build a concrete tennis backboard
(10' x 5' and 12" thick) and to pave an additional area (45' x 50') on one side
of the *all (backboard). The property is located at 14 Fairlawn Lane
Carmell R. Braswell - special permit, in accordance with the provisions of Sec-
tions 1 2 and 25 23, to install a telephone switchboard for the purpose of
operati g a telephone answering service, under the name of The Battle Green
Answers, g Service The address of the property is 143 Reed Street
Manuel oii Rose, Jr - renewal of the special permit to Manuel G Rose, Jr , pur-
suant t4 Section 25 94, to allow for the continuation of the operation of a shop
for light repairs to vehicles and ornamental welding at 748 Waltham Street
Estate Of Peter J Salvi - variance under section 27 and other applicable provi-
sions oi the Zoning By-laws to approve as building lots, Lots A and B as shown
on "Plan of Land Lexington, Mass , February 16, 1977, Oiva E Hintsa Associates,
Consulting Engineers," by approving the relocation of the common boundary line
of Lots 103 and 104, (Sheet 90, Assessors' Map, Town of Lexington, James L
Sewall 6ompany, Old Town, Me ) as shown on said plan dated February 16, 1977, so
as to increase the area of Lot 103 to 8,1071 square feet with frontage on Winter
Street 0f 102 feet, and to reduce Lot 104 to an area of 9,074± square feet with
frontage on Winter Street of 150 feet
Diran D« Keshian - special permit and variance of Sections 30 3 and 27 to maintain
an existing dwelling with a setback of 16 feet and to construct an addition to the
side anal rear of said existing single family house at 455 Lowell Street
DECISIOIjS The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting See
decisions for more details, all in Board of Appeals' files and also filed with
the Town Clerk
Sun Valley - granted unanimously, subject to certain conditions
Braswell - granted unanimously for one year, subject to certain conditions
Rose - granted for two years, unanimously, subject to certain conditions
Salva - denied unanimously
III Keshian - granted unanimously
The meeting adjourned at 10 30 p m.

At its regular meeting on April 4, the Board of Selectmen voted to
real$point Thomas G Taylor as a member of the Board of Appeals for
a fuve-year term expiring March 31, 1982
TheuBoard also voted to appoint Allen Lee Whitman and William J
Scoialer as Associate Members and reappointed Natalie H Riffin,
ClaZence D Turner, Robert M Gary, and Haskell W Reed as Associate
Mem1 rs for one-year terms expiring March 31, 1978
