The Board of Appeals met to continue its discussion and deliberations
prior to making its decision in regard to Lexington Garden's Inc., opening
its meeting at 8 p.m.
(See December 9, 1976 hearings for reference.)
Present were five regular members of the Board:
George P. Wadsworth, Chairman
Ruth Morey, Vice Chariman
Woodruff M. Brodhead
Irving H. Mabee
Thomas G. Taylor
Notice of this meeting was posted with the Town Clerk and was publicized
in the Lexington Minute -Man newspaper.
At this public session the Board gave careful consideration to all the
information previously provided at the hearing, data contained in memoranda
to the Selectmen from the Engineering Department in regard to drainage and,
especially to the suggestions provided by several Board Members in regard to
conditions which the Board would impose if the request for renewal is granted,
voting on -each condition separately.
The Motion to grant this renewal special permit for one year with condi-
tions was made by Woodruff M. Brodhead, seconded by Thomas G. Taylor and
passed unanimously. In granting this renewal the Board agrees with the find-
ings made at the time of the original permit. The Board imposed six conditions
on the special permit renewal. Expiration date is January 31, 1978.

Other action and information:
The Board voted unanimously to consider the new petition of Brewster's, Inc.
for a small entrance -way to their building at 903 Waltham Street, site of
Chadwick's restaurant. The Board had denied a request for a larger addition to
the front of the building on November 18, 1976.
The. Chairman made known to the Board that Peking Gardens would be petitioning
the Board to enlarge their restaurant on Waltham Street. The Board had requested
the Board of Selectmen to make comments. and were waiting for a response.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
