June 3, 1976
The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, June 3, 1976,
beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Town Office
Building. Present were: Chairman Nickerson, Ruth Morey, Irving H. Mabee
and associates, Natalie H. Riffin and Clarence Turner. Also present were a
room full of townspeople, a representative of the League of Women Voters
and a Lexington Minute -Man Reporter.
Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices having
been mailed to the proper owners of land and advertised in the newspaper as
required by law.
Scott Properties, Inc. - variances of Section 27 to maintain the dwelling at
17 Circle Road with a sideyard of 8.86 ft. instead of the required 10 ft.
and a front yard setback of 24.67 ft. instead of the required 30 ft.
Jacek A. Mroczhowski and Isabel H. Mroczhowski - variance of Section 27 so
as to maintain on the property known as and numbered 11 Bates Road an exist-
ing dwelling house with a carport 13' 3" from the Northeasterly side line
instead of the required 15'.
John R. Beaver - variance of Section 27 to keep in place a white steel shed
placed on the property at 21 Lincoln Street. The shed is located approxi-
mately 4 ft. from the lot line.
K. E. Palm - variance of Section 27 (maximum height 40 ft.) to install an
amateur radio antenna 50 ft. high at 12 Westwood Road.
The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting with specta-
tors remaining to the end to hear the verdicts. See permits for details.
Scott Properties - granted with certain conditions unanimously after much
debate and almost reluctantly.
Mroczhowski - granted unanimously.
Beaver - granted unanimously.
Palm - granted unanimously.
All pertinent material is on file in the Board of Appeals' office under
the name of the petitioner.
The meeting adjourned at 11 p.m.
