The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, May 20, 1976,
beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Room G15 of the Town Office Building. Present
were: Chairman Nickerson, v.c. Wadsworth, R. Morey, I. Mabee and W. Brodhead,
all regular members. Also present were a room full of townspeople, a repre-
sentative of the League of Women Voters and a Lexington Minute -Man Reporter.
Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices having been
mailed to the proper people and advertised in the newspaper as required by law.
Doran Greenhouses, Inc. - permission to erect at 150 East Street a Quonsett
style greenhouse (14' x 44') constructed from steel pipe frame and polyethylene
cover. The greenhouse will set back from the street approximately 175' and
100' from nearest lot line.
United States Environmental Protection Agency, New England Regional Laboratory
- permission to erect two free-standing directional signs, one at each entrance,
at 60 Westview Street.
Clifford D. Fleming— variance in order to permit the construction of a single
family dwelling on Lots 45, 46 and 47, abutting 26 Earl Street. Earl Street
is an unaccepted street.
Robert D. Patterson, M.D. - special permit pursuant to Section 25.81 to use a
portion of the dwelling at 21 Blossom Street, as an office for the practice of
psychiatry. The office will be used only week days between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
with evening hours until 9 p.m. one or two days per week. Group therapy will

tors remaining to the end to hear the verdicts. See permits and denial for
details.
Doran - granted unanimously.
U.S.-EPA - granted unanimously.
Fleming - denied on a vote of -3 to 2, the chairman and vice chairman voting
in opposition.
Patterson - granted unanimously, subject to conditions.
All pertinent material is on file in the Board of Appeals' office under
the name of the petitioner.
The meeting adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
